Beanstalk establishes global sustainability unit

The international brand extension licensing agency, Beanstalk, has established a global, cross-functional Sustainability Team with the aim of aligning its clients’ sustainability goals with licensees’ efforts and capabilities.
The latest stride in Beanstalk’s ongoing journey and long-standing relationship with the subject of sustainability in licensing, the team will look to develop and introduce new sustainability guidelines and methods of implementing them for licensees.
Some of the areas of focus will be in sourcing raw materials, reducing packaging, and adhering to ever-evolving regulations.
“For 30 years, we have been helping leading brands, manufacturers and retailers strengthen their relationships with consumers by creating breakthrough products, services, and experiences via the licensing model,” the Beanstalk team told Products of Change. “And in keeping with Beanstalk’s ‘best practices’ model, we have established a global, cross-functional Sustainability Team.
“Sustainability has become a required central focus for brands and organisations. Consumers require it and more importantly, the environment demands it.”
Beanstalk became an early member of the Products of Change community “in acknowledgement of the valuable work” the organisation and its ever-growing and ever-strengthening network of industry and expert members carries out.
In further support of the efforts and the aim to drive positive, sustainable change across the licensing and consumer products industry, Beanstalk will be supporting this year’s Sustainability in Licensing Conference, taking place at the Royal Geographical Society in central London on Wednesday, June 22.
